Franck Ribery was one of key players for Bayern Munich in last season; he and Arjen Robben had a big share in their team winning Bundesliga title. This season Franck Ribery start with injury so he missed a good part of the season. But now Franck Ribery is back and took his place in the left side of Bayern Munich midfield.
In the recent interview for German newspapers Sport Bild, Ribery talked about his injury and possible new players that Bayern Munich might get in summer transfer window. Ribery said that injury is behind him and he can finally focus 100% on playing soccer again. Newspapers asked Ribery what he thinks about possibility that Wolfsburg star Kevin de Bruyne might join Bayern Munich in summer transfer window. Ribery said that Kevin is an excellent player and that Wolfsburg play-style suits him very well but he doesn’t think he would be that good in Bayern Munich.
“Kevin is a great player, but when I watch him I realize that he is different from Arjen Robben. He is not a player who takes the ball and dribbles forward and likes to have the opponents in front of him. De Bruyne is great, when he is in team that is playing counterattack soccer. But most teams against Bayern are mostly thinking about defending them, so you usually have small are of free space in front of you before opponent player tackle you. ”
Newspapers ask him about incident with Arjen Robben in UEFA Champions League semi-finals three years ago against Real Madrid. Robben said that they had a deal on who will take free kick from each side and that Robben interfere with their decision. But that was all behind them now Ribery said and they are very good friends bot on the pitch and outside it.
