After recently we got clear answer from Zlatan Ibrahimovic agent that he is staying in Paris Saint-Germain in the next season, now we got the same answer from another star of Paris Saint-Germain Edison Cavani. In the last night defeat against Barcelona (1-3) Cavani disappointed with his performance, well for his defense we can say that entire team disappointed last night.
Cavani had a lot of problems since he arrived in Paris Saint-Germain from Napoli in 2013. His native place as central forward is currently occupied by club first violin Zlatan Ibrahimovic, so Cavani was playing on “improvised” positions. But his performances are far from those that he was showing while playing for Napoli. In Paris Saint-Germain shirt he played 86 games and scored 45 goals with 9 assists, while for Napoli he played 138 games and score 104 goals. There were a lot of rumors that Cavani will be out of Paris Saint-Germain this summer and the reasons vary from poor performance to a fight with teammates. In recent interview for Sky Sport Cavani told them that he doesn’t plan to leave Paris Saint-Germain in the summer.
“There’s too much talk about my future. I’ll stay here and respect my contract and think about doing well for Paris Saint-Germain.”
Maybe behind all of this is hidden possible transfer of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Cavani will finally have opportunity to play on his native place? We will have to wait and see, but if Cavani decide to leave Paris Saint-Germain there is already a long list of clubs that would like to sign for his services. But club that is mostly linked with Cavani move this summer is new (old) Seria A champions Juventus.
