Pedro’s playing time has been quite limited throughout this season and because of that it is often rumored that the player will leave Barcelona at the end of the season. It has been reported that the wing himself will soon request a meeting with the club’s management to tell that he wants to be transferred during the summer. Pedro has indeed spent too much time on the bench this season and deserves to be in a place that he receives more opportunities.
When he was asked about his future, he confirmed all the rumors regarding the uncertainty whether he will continue his career at Camp Nou:
“I’m in a complicated situation,” he said. “When the moment arrives, I will talk to the club.”
In my opinion, it’s a pity that Pedro doesn’t get more minutes on the pitch. However, it’s hard to imagine that Luis Enrique will choose him in front of Messi, Suarez or Neymar. Pedro is a very skillful player, and every other team will be lucky to have him in their starting lineup. There have been a lot of rumors about teams interested in the wing, and I expect the current Barcelona wing to leave the club during the summer.
However, even though it looks like a sure thing that Pedro will switch clubs during the summer transfer window, the situation isn’t that simple. Even if the player talks with Barcelona’s management, the team won’t let him go if they don’t receive an offer that satisfies them. Furthermore, Barcelona has a transfer ban until 2016, and they will surely try hard to keep the player at least until then. Nevertheless, if some team from Europe offers enough money for him, Pedro will surely make everything possible to leave Barcelona.
