Barclays Premier League: How will Manchester City lineup Aston Villa

Premier League Match Preview

Between two teams both of whom have different ambitions regarding the outcome of this match, this match couldn’t have come at a much bad time for either. While Manchester City came back from back to back defeats with a win against West Ham last week, their recent form might not allow them to face a side that has defied all expectations in the recent weeks. Thus, as far as this fixture is concerned, Manchester City might be in for another frustrating night this season.

Manchester City have scored more goals Vs Aston Villa than any other side in the Premier League (65)

Talking about Aston Villa and although they have enjoyed a brilliant last few weeks with wins over Tottenham and Liverpool epitomizing the honor of their manager, the Villains could ill-afford to draw a game that would break their bubble.

In 9 games under Tim Sherwood, Christian Benteke has managed 9 goals.

While they are in touching distance of FA Cup title, Villa’s main objective this season would be to finish as far as possible from the relegation places. Even though they are at a reasonable distance from the relegation places, a couple of bad results can push them back in the cat and dog fight that is ensuing at the bottom.

And with a scathed Manchester City side against them on Saturday, Tim Sherwood will be hoping that the form of his team will be able to counter the quality of the opposition.

Talking about the team news and the playmaker David Silva is available for selection despite the head injury that he suffered last week. And with both James Milner and Wilfried Bony returning, Manuel Pellegrini would be happy despite some recent come-backs. However, with Vincent Kompany still sidelined along with Gael Clichy, the defense of the reigning Premier League Champions wouldn’t be as comforting.

Here is how Manchester City are expected to lineup against Aston Villa on Saturday: –

Probable Manchester City lineup:

Hart – Zabaleta – DeMichellis – Mangala – Kolarov – Fernando – Fernandinho = Silva – Toure – Navas – Aguero

Manchester City Vs Aston Villa will take place at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday, 25th April
