Atletico Madrid midfielder Koke to be main target for Jose Mourinho and Chelsea in summer transfer window

After they defeat Manchester United in derby game on Saturday, Jose Mourinho machine is only inches away from taking Premiership title. Since it would need miracle so that Chelsea lost the title, Jose Mourinho already is turning into the next season and calculating what players he need to boost his ranks into new adventure called UEFA Champions League.


Luis Filipe might be going back to Vicente Calderon


According to Spanish newspapers Mourinho first pick in the summer transfer window would be Athletic Madrid midfielder Koke. Koke has the contract with Atletico Madrid for 4 more years and there is no secret that Diego Simeone would like to keep Spain midfielder at Vincente Calderon. According to Transfermarkt, Koke market value is 50 million euros, but in his contract with Atletico is says that if any clubs would like to get Koke services it would take at least 60 million euros to start negotiations. Koke is Atletico Madrid child and since his promotion in the first team he played 211 games and scored 18 goals. In Diego Simeone era Koke has become one of key players for both Spain and Atletico Madrid. Mourinho knows all that and he knows how Koke is important for Diego Simeone team, so he is planning to send Luis Filipe with some money back to Atletico Madrid. Mourinho bought Filipe last year from Atletico Madrid for 20 million euros, but this season Filipe didn’t win Mourinho trust. This season Filipe only made 23 appearances for Chelsea and that is a small amount for ex-starter of Atletico Madrid. Will this soften up Atletico Madrid officials it remains to see, but one thing is for sure that Mourinho gets what he wants.
