Recently one rumor starts getting publicity around the Europe media and newspapers. Idea is about UEFA All-Star game. In the last 10-15 years we saw a lot of change in the UEFA competition, most of the changes was because of G-14.Who is G-14, in 2000 14 biggest clubs in Europe makes a group that supposed to “fight for their rights” or in the normal language they want to share financial profit from FIFA and UEFA events. Their main reason behind that was that best players in world are playing in those clubs and they want to be secured.
G-14 forced UEFA to change Champions League format
After that group grows to 18 clubs, they even threat to abandon all UEFA competition and to make their own league. Off course since those were the most popular clubs in Europe, UEFA was under risk to sponsor to the possible new league. Soon after that UEFA Champions League presented with the new format that includes not only national champion but also the clubs from the top of league depending on the national ranting. Off course with the new format UEFA manage to get even more money from TV rights and sponsor. But soon after the other UEFA competitions UEFA Cup and Cup Winners Cup suffer, so UEFA soon merge those two competitions into Europa League with the similar format as UEFA Champions League.

Regarding UEFA All-Star idea is that “North” will go against “South” and it’s more likely that this is one more attempt from UEFA to earn some money. According to sources in “North team” should be players from England, Germany and Russian league while “South team” would be players from Spain, France and Italy. So on North team we would see players like Neuer, Hummels, Robben, Di Maria, Reus, Aguero and Hazard while for South we would see Buffon, Pique, Pogba, Neymar, Messi, Ibrahimovic and Ronaldo. The only question remains what is with the rest of league, we got some good player in other European leagues also.
