Spahic didn’t want to go around to VIP saloon

Bayer Leverkusen played a game against Bayern Munich in quarter-finals of DFB-Pokal in Leverkusen. After 120 minutes score was 0-0 and winner had to be decided by wit penalty shots. The only missed penalty shot was from Josip Drmic in the 4th series. After the game Emir Spahic with some friends wanted to go into the VIP through the stands, they were soon caught by stewards and ask to go around. Spahic didn’t want that and shoving started, whole incident was record on the cell phone camera from the stands. After the incident even Germany police said that they will raise investigation against Bayer Leverkusen player Emir Spahic about his behavior after the game. But even before police investigation is over Bayer decide to end Spahic contact. Bayer CEO Michale Schade said that after recent finding they didn’t have any other choice since they couldn’t wait for the outcome of the police investigation. Spahic contract was ending this summer, but since he was one of the best Bayer players in this season everyone expect Bayer to offer him another contract.

Jedvaj or Papadopoulos?

Spahic joined Bayer Leverkusen from Sevilla in season 2013/2014, for Bayer he played 71 games and scored 3 goals. This season Spahic was one of the best Bayer Leverkusen players and with Turkish player Omer Toprak keep the defense line of Bayer. Roger Schmidt doesn’t have many options for Emir Spahic place; yesterday in their win against Mainz (3-2) Schmidt used young Croatian Tin Jedvaj as second central defender. With Jedvaj Schmidt also have Papadopoulos who is on loan from Schalke 04.
