UEFA Champions League: Porto made the biggest surprise of quarter-finals, Barcelona demolish PSG in Paris

UEFA Champions League:

Tonight we saw last two games of UEFA Champions League quarter-finals. After big words we saw real big surprise in Porto and clean and easy win for Barcelona in Paris.

Paris Saint-Germain vs. Barcelona 1 – 3

Paris SG and Barcelona meet again in quarter-finals similar to last year, only difference is that last year both games and in draw. It was 2-2 in Paris and 1-1 in Barcelona; with away goal Barcelona manage to go into the semi-finals. PSG without Ibrahimovic was hoping that they could replay their group stage game when they win 3-2. But at the end Barcelona manages to get easy and clean 3-0 wins. That this will be a different game then their group game we saw at the start when Messi shot hit the post in 14’. Only four minutes later Barcelona takes the lead, Neymar scored after a through ball from Messi. Barcelona was controlling the game and PSG was mostly relaying on counter-attacks. 1-0 was on the scoreboard until 67’ when Luis Suarez scored his first and Barcelona second goal. He made everything pass behind David Luiz enter the box and score from the close range. Only three minutes later Cavani could score for PSG but Stegen makes excellent save. In 79’ Suarez scored his second and Barcelona final goal in this game. Similar to their second goal again Suarez pass David Luiz and from the edge of penalty box scored for 3-0. Only three minutes later after one shot from Gregory Van der Wiel, Jeremy Mathieu deflect the ball and score own goal. Just before the final whistle PSG have one more great chance but again Cavani couldn’t score.

Porto vs. Bayern Munich 3 – 1

Porto is the only team that made real surprise in quarter-final of UEFA Champions League. Nobody gives Porto any chance especial after Bayern Munich 7-0 win against Shakhtar Donetsk, but Porto is still waiting for their first defeat this season in UEFA Champions League. Porto open the game excellent, just when the game start in 2’ Xavi Alonso lost one ball near the box to Jackson Martinez and Neuer had to make a penalty to save the goal. Quaresma scored from penalty kick and bring Porto into the lead. In 9’ Lewandowski could score the equalizer, but his shot from close range went wide and then in next minute again big mistake by Bayern defense. This time Dante lost one ball to Quaresma who didn’t have big problems scoring his and Porto second goal in this game. In 27’ Bayern finally score, after good cross from Boateng, Alcantara didn’t have big problems to score from a close range on the second post. In 56’ Boateng almost scored own goal, but Neuer saved that chance. And then in 65’ another Bayern error in defense this time from Boateng and Jackson Martinez scored for final score 3-1.
