Today we got a confirmation that Steven Gerrard replacement Jordan Henderson signs a new long-term deal with Liverpool. 24 years old central midfielder join Liverpool in 2011 from Sunderland and in last two years have made great in pact on Liverpool game. This season he one of top ranting Liverpool players. Since his arrival he made 180 appearances for Liverpool and scored 20 goals, but in last two years he slowly starting to take Liverpool captain place from Steven Gerrard. Most sport analysts agree that Henderson would be ideal replacement for long time icon of Anfield road.
Henderson didn’t hide excitement about the new contract that would bring him around 100,000 pounds per week. For club official website Henderson said:
“I’m over the moon that it’s finally done. There has been talk about it for a while now. It’s brilliant news for me to commit my future to this football club – I Really feel that it’s a good time for us to look forward to the future, with the squad we’ve got, the manager, the size of the club and the fans we’ve got. I really think, over the next few years, we can challenge and start winning trophies.”
In terms of transfer Liverpool already made a huge work, they sign new long-term contract with their younger player Jordan Henderson, Daniel Sturridge and Philippe Coutinho. Those players will carry Liverpool game in the years that come; the only problem that Liverpool is facing is Raheem Sterling. Young attacker still refuse to sign a new contract with Liverpool and it’s more likely that he will move from Anfield in the summer transfer window, since player clearly stated that he want to fight for trophies now and not in couple of years.
