Pep Guardiola accused Bayern Munich medical staff for their UEFA Champions League loss against Porto 3-1

Soccer News:

Bayern Munich was dominating during entire season both in Bundesliga and in UEFA Champions League, but one defeat may cost them all. Two days ago in first round of UEFA Champions League quarter-finals game against Porto they lost 3-1 and are facing hard task in their Allianz arena. But Bayern got one big problem this season and that is injury problem. During entire season Bayern is playing without 2 or sometimes even more players that play key roles in the last year title run. So what every coach do once their team start falling is to accuse someone else, for Bayern coach Pep Guardiola those are Bayern Munich medical team.

Accuse them for loss and experience players made goal mistakes

After recent loss against Porto, Guardiola accuse Bayern Munich chief doctor Dr. Hans-Wilhelm Muller-Wohlfahrt. After that accusation Dr. Hans-Wilhelm withdraw from his place as chief doctor and took entire medical team with him. Dr. Hans-Wilhelm said in the statement that there is no more trust between coach and his medical staff and that after Porto main reason for the defeat was due to medical staff. Because of that he and his medical team will be leaving the club. Truth is that Dr. Hans-Wilhelm treatments are question, but it’s likely that they are main reason for that defeat. Bayern couldn’t count on Robben, Ribery, Martinez, Alaba, Benatia and Schweinsteiger for game against Porto. But if you look at the game then medical staff isn’t the main reason for Bayern loss. Porto scored 3 goals from terrible mistakes of Bayern defense, mistakes made from no young players Xabi Alonso 33 years, Boateng 26 years and Dante 31 year. All three players were starting players last and this year for Bayern.

Guardiola like Klinsmann in 2008

We don’t know why Pep Guardiola act like he acted in Leverkusen and Porto, but it’s not fair to blame on medical staff only because your experienced players made mistakes or if your attackers couldn’t score from close range. Dr. Hans-Wilhelm is in Bayern since 1977 and only in short period in 2008 he left the club after disagreement with current Bayern Munich coach Jürgen Klinsmann.
