LA Liga: How will Real Madrid lineup against Granada

LA Liga Match Preview

After being defeated in the EL-Classico amid fans booing their own players, this match serve as the perfect opportunity for the LOS BLANCOS to get their journey right. Sitting 4 points adrift from Barcelona in the LA Liga table with 10 matches still to go, Real Madrid have every chance that is in the book to get their hands on LA Liga title this time around.

However, to do that, they have to eradicate the complacency that has found deep roots at the Santiago Bernabeu since the dawn of New Year. While they were THE team in the last 6 months of 2014 blowing teams away for fun, the dawn of New Year has served as to be the departure of the fear-factor that was related with Real Madrid last year.

Since the start of this year and although they are still scoring goals freely, the trio of Bale – Benzema – Ronaldo have scored 16 goals combined wherever, on the other hand, Lionel Messi has scored 17 goals separately. Thus, while this couldn’t be related to their form, this might indicate the area in which they have gone wrong over the past few months.

Having said that, this match should serve as the watershed moment for the LOS BLANCOS looking at the form and the position of their hosts in LA Liga table. Having captured 23 points in 28 games this season, Granada are currently sitting 2nd from the rock bottom in LA Liga.

Thus, when the 2nd best team in LA Liga will host the 2nd worst in the League, Real Madrid would be hoping that they can reduce their gap with Barcelona to 1 point, at-least for the time being as the Catalans will be playing their game on Monday.

Talking about the team news and although Real Madrid has welcomed players back from injuries in recent weeks, the under-fire Gareth Bale might start from the bench due to the knock he acquired in Wales’ win over Israel in mid-week.

On the other hand and talking about the defense of the LOS BLANCOS, they might be without Pepe as the Portuguese is still struggling to get rid of the injury which he concurred in the EL-Classico a fortnight ago.

Here is how Real Madrid are expected to lineup for this fixture: –
