5 Manchester City players that are set to leave the club in summer transfer window

Manchester City transfer News

Amid a crisis of form that has surrounded the Etihad stadium for the most part of this year, most of the members of the Manchester City squad are now fighting for their roles. With the role of the manager Manuel Pellegrini, sporting director Tixti Bergisten all under threat, there can be a mass exodus of personnel from the Etihad based club in the summer.

Here are 5 Manchester City players that might leave the club in summer transfer window: –

Aleksandar Kolarov

Being a strong part of the Manchester City squad that clinched the Premier League title last season, the future of Kolarov at English soil now looks in extreme doubt. While he has performed nearly every-time he has stepped onto the pitch, he might join Manuel Pellegrini in the list of those personnel that are leaving the Premier League Champions in the summer.

Yaya Toure

For a player who has performed head and shoulders above others in the squad, the midfield maestro of Manchester City is getting a lot of stick these days. When he was out on the African Cup of Nations in January, Manchester City managed a paltry win – and that too against relegation threatened Sunderland in a whole month. Thus, while he is extremely important to the current squad, Manchester City are eyeing to replace him with another powerful midfielder in Paul Pogba next season.

Stevan Jovetic

Being a part of the early players that Manuel Pellegrini brought up with him, Jovetic might be the first one to bore the brunt of a highly un-successful season for the blues. Having played in 28 games for Manchester City since his arrival, Jovetic has scored 8 times. Thus, while he isn’t an exact definition of a flop player, continued tinkering with his playing time has left the striker at Manchester City fringes.

Eden Dzeko

While this might be the hundredth time that Dzeko will be linked to a move away from Manchester City, this speculation might become reality as early as the summer. While Manchester City had, this season, 4 proper strikers at the helm, all 4 of them have managed a combined 27 goals between them – with 17 coming from Aguero alone. Thus, while Aguero has managed his form nicely, the other 3 has gone astray. Dzeko might join Serie A in the summer transfer window.

James Milner

Of all the players that are aforementioned in the list, James Milner is the one who is most certain to leave the club in the summer. However, unlike the above that might go on a good price tag, Milner is all set to leave the club for free as his contract will expire in June. Liverpool is reportedly leaving the race for his signature.
