LA Liga: Carlo Ancelloti expects League to be decided on the final day

LA LIGA News:

Just a day after Real Madrid drew at home against the 6th placed side Villarreal to mitigate their lead at the top of LA Liga to 2 points, manager Carlo Ancelloti came in public to share his views regarding the title race. Having finished 3rd last season with a 3 point gap from the Champions Atletico Madrid, Real Madrid vowed to put things straight in the domestic Competition this season.

Although they are the reigning European Champions, last season performances at the domestic level were far from satisfactory as far as the LOS BLANCOS were concerned. And like a Champion team that they are, Real Madrid have come out firing and are looking as the favorites to land their 33rd LA Liga title.

When Barcelona kicked off this season with an 8 match un-beaten streak, many thought that the NOU Camp residents are going towards yet another LA Liga title streamlined. However, with slumps in their form and the affairs surrounding them both on and off the pitch, Barcelona suffered a dip in form and were soon removed from the top spot by the ruthless force of Cristiano Ronaldo and Co.

However, as they say that football is a game of two halves, the current form of Real Madrid seems a far cry from at the end of 2014. Being on a 12 match winning streak before the turn of this season, Real acquired their best ever form under the tutelage of Carlo Ancelloti. But like Barcelona, Real Madrid suffered a slump and now are toe to toe with their arch rivals Barcelona in a battle to keep supremacy in La Liga intact.

Acknowledging the fact that LA Liga is far from over, Carlo Ancelloti even predicted that the title race this season will go right down to the wire.

La Liga will be decided in the final match, We have to focus on the two-point lead we’ve got, which isn’t much, but a lead we must make the most of.

While Barcelona won away from home against FC Granada, they were the only team in the top 3 to acclaim a win as both Madrid sides dropped points. However, with Atletico Madrid 6 points off the top, it looks like that it will be a traditional battle for the LA Liga supremacy this time out.
