Louis van Gaal said that his current job in Manchester United will be his last job as coach

Current manager of England giant Manchester United Louis van Gaal said for an interview that this job in Manchester will be his last job as coach.  Van Gaal started his coach career in long 1986 in AZ Alkmaar. Van Gaal said that it’s time to stop doing this, he is getting old and he has to pay attention to is family. As one example van Gaal said that this year he missed the birthday of his grandson and he didn’t like that.


Van Gaal is one of rare active coaches that manage to won national titles in three different countries Netherland (Ajax and AZ Alkmaar), Spain (Barcelona) and Germany (Bayern Munich). He would like to add fourth national title, but Manchester United is now eight points behind leader Chelsea. But van Gaal don’t have title race in mind this season, he said on many occasions that their goal is Champions League and maybe next year they will go for the title. Louis van Gaal theory is that with Champions League they will have easier job of attracting better player and strength their squad for the next season.


Van Gaal spent over 200 million euros in the summer transfer window for the new player. Recently we could read that Manchester United already secured van Gaal another 200 million euros for the new players in summer transfer window. Interesting thing is that Manchester United is only 5th club that van Gaal management in his 30 years career. Most success van Gaal manage to have with Ajax, he won 3 national titles and 1 KNVB Cup, Champions League, UEFA Cup, UEFA Super Cup and Intercontinental Cup.
