Yesterday in the second leg of round 16 UEFA Champions League, we saw one more disappointing game from Real Madrid. After win in first game (2-0) they lost in second on their Santiago Bernabeu (3-4).
Even before the game fans on Santiago Bernabeu “greets” Bale and Casillas with whistling at the player presentation. After Sane scored third goal for Schalke 04 situation on Santiago Bernabeu went crazy, fans were whistling to the entire Real Madrid team. Before the game we could read in the newspapers statements from Real Madrid players that they will crush Schalke and repay to their fans for the loss in last round of Primera Division. But at the end only luck (and Iker Casillas) and Cristiano Ronaldo saved them from getting humiliated. As expected at the end of the game fans greets them with a huge salve of whistles and players start moving toward the locker room. At that point Real Madrid Captain Iker Casillas called his teammates and even drag some player to the center of the field, where they listen how disappointed their fans are.
For newspapers Casillas said that goalkeeper is always to blame and that this is one of his poorest games for Real Madrid, but tonight nobody from his teammates were not on high level. For the end Casillas said that at this moment Real Madrid has hit the bottom. But that was not the end for Real Madrid players, after the game Real Madrid fans were waiting for the players to leave the stadium and then each player gets what he deserved from the fans. The only two players that fans “spare” bad words were Pepe and Marcelo.
Real Madrid doesn’t know for a win in last three games, they got 2 defeats (Athletic Club and Schalke 04) and one draw (Villarreal). They already lost their points advantage in Primera Division and in less than two weeks we got El Clasico at Camp Nou. If Real don’t wake up soon, they might head into disastrous on Camp Nou.
