Friday match between Spain and Ukraine in Seville is probably one of most interesting clash on Friday in UEFA Europe Championship qualifications round. With only five rounds to go, battle for first two places are open.
Slovakia who is current leader of Group C stuns everyone when they beat both Ukraine (1-0) and Spain (2-1) in first two rounds of qualifications. With 4 wins from 4 games they are standing alone on the top of group. Spain and Ukraine are behind them with three points less. So win in this game might throw one team out of direct place for EURO 2016.
How important this game is for Spain knows very well their boss Vicente Del Bosque. Del Bosque thinks that Spain need to balance both attack and defense, since Ukraine national team is very strong in counter-attacks. Ukraine national team is usual typical mix of Dynamo Kyiv and Shakhtar Donetsk players. Spain is currently undefeated for 29 home competitive games, so they are hoping to add one more after this round. Del Bosque will be without his first attacker Diego Costa, but Del Bosque is confident that Juventus striker Alvaro Morata can take Diego Costa place in attack.
In history these two teams meet only three times, Spain won 2 games while one end in draw. Last time these two meets was on FIFA World Cup in Germany 2006. In Group stage Spain beat Ukraine 4-0. That meeting was almost 10 years ago and in tomorrow game we might expect to see Casillas, Fabregas or Ramos for Spain and Tymoshchuk or Rotan for Ukraine who all take part in last Spain vs. Ukraine game.
