Manuel Pellegrini won the England Premiership with Manchester City last year, but this one they are not doing so well. After another poor play and results against Burnley, they lost 1-0, talks about Pellegrini leaving Manchester City bench are starting to rise again.
Pellegrini City is not playing well during whole season and already in December there were some talks about his replacement on the City bench. But then Pellegrini overcome all odds and manage to cut the point’s difference in Premiership and to beat Roma in UEFA Champions League and go into the round 16. At that point Pellegrini send a message to all critics that City only needs to warm up and now they will storm England and Europe. Only three months later they look exhausted. They can say goodbye to new title in Premiership and in Champions League they are facing mission impossible since they lost first game at their Etihad Stadium against Barcelona 2-1. But problems for Pellegrini not ends there, second place and even third place is in danger. City is now second with 58 points but Arsenal (57 points) and Manchester United (56 points) are dangerously close. In Premier league first three places led direct into UEFA Champions’ League group stages while fourth place had to go true qualifications. For Manchester City owners that is all not enough and there are rumors that Sheik Mansour already looking for Pellegrini replacement. It’s not a secret that City would love to have Pep Guardiola or Diego Simeone on the bench, but since neither one of them is going to leave their clubs their next pick is Napoli coach Rafael Benitez. Benitez still didnt sign a new contract with Napoli, but who knows maybe on summer he change Italian Seria A for England Premiership.
