A new portion of rumors has been released, and they suggest that Real Madrid is one of the teams that will go after Petr Cech during the summer transfer window. It has been reported that Cech is highly considered as a replacement for Iker Casillas, who has been underperforming lately. Furthermore, Manchester United’s David De Gea is proving a bit of a difficult player to lure.
“Cech, who has lost his place between the posts this season to Thibaut Courtois, is said to be considering his options as he seeks regular first-team football, although boss Jose Mourinho has recently said only a big bid will tempt him to sell the Czech Republic international. With his current situation in mind, Madrid may well be happy to meet such a fee, which is still likely to be lower than any offer for De Gea, as they seek to give more competition to 33-year-old Casillas.”
Rumors about Cech have been flying around since Thibaut Courtois returned to Chelsea after the loan to Atletico Madrid. However, it wouldn’t be surprising if Cech decides to switch teams, as he isn’t receiving a lot of playing time, and most likely the situation won’t change. In Real Madrid he will definitely receive more chances on the field, as Casillas is showing strong signs of aging. Furthermore, it’s very possible that Keylor Navas will be sold if Cech arrives at the Bernabeu. Navas was signed by Real Madrid as competition for Casillas, however it seems that Carlo Ancelotti is looking for a more elite kind of goalkeeping talent.
Jose Mourinho has stated a lot of times that he highly values Petr Cech and his talents, however, it’s very unlikely that the goalkeeper will stand the fact that he is not playing regularly.

However, Cech looks like the second most important transfer target for Real Madrid, as the club is confirmed to be after Paul Pogba. The director of Juventus confirmed that PSG and Los Blances are after the 22-year-old talent.
