NBA News: Derrick Rose confident he can return healthy this seasomn

Basketball, NBA News:

It’s hard to believe it, but the Chicago Bulls and their fans are once again waiting for Derrick Rose to return from injury. It has become quite a negative tendency for him and the franchise, as for the third consecutive season he is missing significant time with a knee injury. Rose had a successful surgery on 27th February, and if the doctors are right, he should be able to return on the floor in four to six weeks. However, the question is, when is Derrick Rose going to feel he is ready to return?

Nevertheless, this time it seems that Rose is determined not to spend too much time in a suit. On 25th March, he stated that he expects to return to action later in the season. He continued saying that he is currently pain-free and feels good. When he was asked about the four to six weeks timetable, he answered:

“That would be the plan, but who knows? Whenever I’m ready to come back, that’s when I’m going to come back.”

Even though Derrick Rose has been underperforming this season, he was still a very valuable piece for Chicago’s playoff ambitions. The point-guard wasn’t exactly efficient on offense, however, provided stability on the defensive end.

However, it makes you wonder what kind of Derrick Rose are the Bulls going to receive if he comes back this season. He was far away from his MVP form throughout this campaign before he went out with injury, so it’s foolish to think that he will play better when he returns. In my opinion, Tom Thibodeau and the whole Chicago team will hope Rose is going to be close to an All-Star level player, as they will need him to be when the playoffs come.
