Joachim Low extended his contract with DFB until the end of World Cup 2018

Germany soccer association or DFB announce today that they extend contract with current national team coach Joachim Low until the end of World Cup 2018.


DFB is happy to extend the contract with their prize winner coach and they hope that he will continue with success with Germany national team. After the announcement Joachim Low told the reporters that he was expecting this kind of decision and that his heart already knows that DFB will extend his contract. Low mention how good is his relation with DFB and that in global they have the common goal and that are success of German national team. At the end Low said that becoming World Champion is excellent experience and amazing feeling and they want to live that once more at World Cup in Russia 2018. DFB president Wolfgang Niersbach said that there wasn’t any question about Low contract, with his (Low) ability and confidence Low is the perfect man for German national team. Niersbach said that everyone in DFB knows that Low is doing excellent job and since they all have the same goal and that is to climb and stay on the top.


Joachim Low took over Germany national team in 2006 with only 45 years, at that time he was one of the youngest national coaches. There were many critics after appointing “young” coach that didn’t have any real coaching experience. Before Germany Low coach Austria Wien, Tirol Innsbruck, Karlsruhe, Fenerbahce and VfB Stuttgart. With Germany Low was playing on 2 European Championship and 2 World Cups, in European Championship in Austria & Switzerland Germany lost in finals against Spain (0-1) and in 2012 in Poland & Ukraine they lost in semifinals against Italy (1-2). On World Cup in South Africa 2010 they took 4th place and then last year in Brazil they manage to win it. Next big competition will be European Championship next year in France, Germany is in Group D and after 4 rounds they are 2nd with 7 points.
