Is Florentino Perez selling Ronaldo this summer?

Soccer News:

One of the biggest questions in the upcoming summer transfer window will be is Cristiano Ronaldo staying in Real Madrid? Rolando started this year pretty nervous we saw him arguing with team mates and then we had “birthday” scandal that also shakes the morale in Real Madrid locker room. According to some Spain newspapers Real Madrid president Florentino Perez doesn’t think about new long-term contract with main star of Real Madrid.  According to newspapers Ronaldo might be sold if not in this summer transfer window then definitely in next 12 months, current Ronaldo contract is ending in summer 2018.

Ronaldo is main star of Real Madrid and it’s not likely that they will sold it, but newspapers give us four reasons why they think Perez will look to sell Ronaldo. One of main reason are Ronaldo years, Ronaldo is 30 years old and in soccer terms that means he got 1 or 2 more years on high level, after what his form will go down. Off course that doesn’t mean anything if your name if Andrea Pirlo. Second reason connected with the player ages – injuries. According to some sources close to the club Ronaldo is having problems with keeping the top form in such a busy schedule. With the more and more games each season and with his age he is more likely to catch some injury that would keep them out of the field than younger players. Third reason is economics, Ronaldo is a big star on the field and outside the field but again as he getting older his transfer fee is going down. So if Perez wants to earn some money on his transfer now is a good time to sell him for a big chunk of money. As the last reason they say about Ronaldo replacement, Perez believes that Gareth Bale can step into Ronaldo shoes and take place of main star in Real Madrid.

Looking at this reasons we cannot say that we don’t agree with them, but we are talking about Cristiano Ronaldo here. It’s less likely that Real Madrid will go and sell their main star, but if we look in the history something similar was thinking about Raul. There are not many clubs in the world that can pay for Ronaldo transfer fee, but if Real decide to sell Ronaldo they would gladly pay €120 million to bring Ronaldo in their club.
