Barclays Premier League: How will Liverpool lineup against Burnley

English Premier League Match Preview:

Liverpool’s impressive late-season form took an all time high on Sunday when they defeated the reigning Premier League Champions at Anfield. Courtesy to goals coming from Philippe Coutinho and Jordan Henderson – both of which can be contenders for goal of the month, Liverpool piled misery on Manchester City and increased their own chances of playing Champions League next season.

Here is how Liverpool are expected to lineup against QPR at Anfield: –

Simon Mignolet

At a time when nearly everybody wearing a Red shirt is performing head and shoulders above his stature, Simon Mignolet is no different. Although he was dropped from the Reds’ squad in December, there is no looking back for the Belgian as he looks set to grab his 10th clean-sheet of the season.

Emre Can

While there are many members of the Liverpool squad that took some time to settle at the Anfield based club, Emre Can is an exception as he has been the darling of the Anfleid folklore the moment he set foot at the English soil.

Martin Skrtel

There was a time in Liverpool when no defender was unsure about his position in the next match. Martin Skrtel was one of those lingering about the Anfield future however, with the evolution now being showcased at Anfield, Martin Skrtel has been an important component of the Liverpool resurgence this season.

Dejan Lovren

Unlike the aforementioned 2 defenders both of whom earned praise from the Liverpool fans from the start, here is a player that earned scathing criticism from all parts of England. However, with his self-belief as tall as himself, the former Lyon defender is now looking more like a player whom the Reds pad 20 million pounds for.

Jordan Henderson

Talking about the players who save their best for the big games, Jordan Henderson is quickly entering into that echelon for the Reds. With his stunning goal against Manchester City that earned him praise from all and sundry, the Liverpool Captain has been silencing his critics from the last 6 months.

Joe Allen

Earning a place in the Liverpool squad after the subsequent injuries of Steven Gerrard and Lucas Leiva, the Irishman has taken the opportunity with both hands to re-invigorate his Liverpool career.

Alberto Moreno

While the Reds have tested 8 formations this season, Moreno has been among the few who were consistent members in all. He will start on that left wing role.

Lazar Markovic

When Brendan Rodgers asked the Liverpool fans to be patient with Lazar Markovic, he earned criticism from the Reds’ fans about his assessment regarding the Serbian. However, since getting that goal at Sunderland in January, the Serbian is now busy in repaying the faith that his manager enshrined in him.

Raheem Sterling

While Philippe Coutinho and Jordan Henderson dominated the head-lines for the Reds’ on Monday, Raheem Sterling was a silent endeavor behind the duo. With his industry off the ball and allowing space for the likes of Coutinho and Lallana to run, Raheem Sterling paved the way for Liverpool.

Philippe Coutinho

Signed from Inter Milan for a fee in the region of 9 million pounds, the midfield maestro is eclipsing the players like Angel Di Maria and Mesut Ozil this season. Being dubbed as the ‘’Real Brazilian’’ by Brendan Rodgers after his goal, Coutinho has all the abilities to be a World-beater in the coming years.

Daniel Sturridge

Although the Englishman earned an axe from the Liverpool starting lineup on Sunday, he is expected to get his starting position back against Burnley in the mid-week.
