UEFA Champions League Match Preview
Having pocketed one trophy already this season in the shape of <a href="Match Center” title=”Chelsea 2-0 Tottenham, Match Center”>Capital One Cup, sitting atop of the other with a healthy 5 point lead in the bag, Chelsea football club are looking to make amends of last season’s form as they are eyeing a treble this season. Standing in their way, is a force from France and although they aren’t in their best form, Paris Saint German have enough artillery in their ranks to down the Stamford Bridge on Wednesday.
While Chelsea will be going into this match with a useful away goal in the bag, they will not back upon their former laurels of defending with the sort of attack they have at their disposal. While a major portion of that attack, Cesc Fabregas has gone quite off late after earning massive applause since his return to the English soil, Chelsea have enough firepower to drown the travelling French on Wednesday.
Even though he has won the Carling Cup already, Champions League has been a trophy that has been evading the Portuguese of late. Since winning that trophy with the Inter side and moving to Spain to have a stint with Real Madrid, the former Porto manager has always had a sour taste when it comes to the Champions League.
However, with home form as good as it ever has been for the blues, a Premier League title in the bag already barring some un foreseen catastrophe, Jose Mourinho has the best chance this season to prepare his team for the Champions League knockouts.
