‘’Harry Redknapp is going nowhere’’ Chairman Tony Fernandes gives his backing to the under-fire QPR manager

English Premier League News:

After back to back bad performances in the Premier League which has seen the Premier League newcomers stranded at the bottom of Premier League table, concerns were raised regarding the future of Harry Redknapp in the Premier League.

After earning promotion in the Premier League this season by playing play-offs in the Championship, QPR spent heavily in the transfer window in the summer to boost their return. However, fast forward 5 months and the Premier League newcomers are again going towards the rock bottom as their position in the Premier League suggests.

Even though they have acquired quality defenders in the summer transfer window by bringing in the likes of Steven Caulker and Rio Ferdinand, QPR have conceded the most number of goals this season which has seen them slump to 19th in the Premier League table.

Although they have managed 5 wins which is the 3rd most by any team in the bottom half of Premier League table, their defense has let them down on several occasions which has left the future of manager Harry Redknapp in doubt. They have conceded the most number of goals in the Premier League this season.

Coming forward and rubbishing any such claims, QPR owner Tony Fernandes has given his full backing to the under-fire manager at a time when many in QPR ranks are calling for the manager’s head. In an interview which was given to QPR.co.uk by Fernandez he called off any such theory.

There’s been a lot of rumors about Harry’s position being under threat, so I thought it was time to end all the speculation, so everyone can focus on the challenge ahead.

I firmly believe Harry is the best man to get us out of the position we currently find ourselves in’’. Fernandez stated in an attempt to clear the cloud hanging over the future of Harry Redknapp as a QPR Manager.

I firmly believe Harry is the best man to get us out of the position we currently find ourselves in. He has great experience and having spoken to him at length over the last week or so, he is determined to turn this around and help us maintain our Premier League status.

“This is Harry’s squad of players, so he is the man to move us forward.”
