Getafe CF 0-3 Real Madrid: 3 things we Learned!

Soccer News

With an impressive and astounding victory over Getafe at Coliseum Alfonso Perez, Real Madrid extended their lead to 4 points at the top of La Liga having played one more match then 2nd spot FC Barcelona. It was a complete performance to say the least after Ronaldo scored twice in the second half to ensure 3 points for his side. And if they can continue to perform like this, Carlo Ancelloti’s men are surely the favorites to land La Liga trophy this season.

Here are 3 things which we learned from Getafe CF 0-3 Real Madrid!

Back to Winning ways:

It was a much needed victory for the Los Blancos who suffered a heartbreak 3 days ago by the hands of Atletico Madrid in the Copa Del Rey. After a barren first half display which ended as 0-0, Carlo Ancelloti was feeling the heat to show some quality. However, thanks to Ronaldo and Bale who once again helped their team to manage a comprehensive victory in the end. Getafe CF never looked threatening and it was all Real Madrid as far as the 2nd half was concerned.

Magnificent Ronaldo:

After scoring 2 goals against a struggling Getafe side, Cristiano Ronaldo is now being in 37 goals this La Liga Campaign. With 28 goals and 9 assists in just 17 apps, the Portuguese Superstar has been in sumptuous form this season. The current Ballon d’Or winner has been literally unstoppable so far and if he can continue his red hot form, there will be no stopping Real Madrid from title glory.

Relegation looming for Getafe:

Currently sitting on the 16th spot in the La Liga table, condition became worse for Quique Flores after yet another defeat this evening. Winless in their last 9 matches, last victory came for them at the end of October. Now after almost two and a half months without a win, Getafe are just 1 point off the 18th spot Levante side. And if they don’t start winning now, all hell could break loose as far as Getafe are concerned.
