NBA News: The new guys that we would like to see in the 2015 Slam-Dunk Contest

Basketball, NBA News:

The 2015 All-Star Weekend is an event, that many NBA fans around the world just can’t wait to come. It’s a festival of basketball and entertains people like almost nothing else. The Slam Dunk competition is one of those events that shows the beauty of the game and has been attracting a lot of people every year. This time we expect it to be quite the same. In this article we will present you the five participants that we would really want to see taking part in the contest:

1. Andrew Wiggins

Wiggins is the type of guy that could bring a bit of star power to the contest, even though it is highly doubtful that the will be elected to participate in the All-Star Game. He is a player that is quite known among fans, because of the fact he was a number one pick in the 2014 Draft. The Minnesota Timberwolves player has shown us that he has hops and he will undoubtedly bring a lot of energy if the wishes to participate in the contest.

2. K.J. McDaniels

The Philadelphia 76ers are in the midst of a pretty disastrous season, but even this kind of season has its positives. The team has given chance to almost everybody to have a decent amount of playing time. Some of the players haven’t made the most of it, but some of them have blossomed. One of those guys that has done a good job of making the most of his opportunities is rookie K.J. McDaniels. He is a freakish athlete and has made some of the most impressive dunks this season and I don’t think there is anybody that won’t like to see him showing off his jumping abilities in the All-Star Weekend.

3. Zach LaVine

The other rookie of the Minnesota Timberwolves is almost as explosive as Wiggins, if not better. LaVine has amazingly good dunking abilities and has showed them throughout the season. Even though he is not in the same club as Andrew Wiggins in regards of overall ability, as athletes they are on the same level. If twotake part, it’s going to be one fun event to watch.

4. DeAndre Jordan

Even though DeAndre Jordan is a big man, he has shown numerous time that he can be very creative when dunking. Last year he was close to taking part in the Slam Dunk Contest, however he stated that he would participate only if he was chosen to play in the All-Star Game. We sincerely hope that he has made up his mind and decided that he will show his creativity in the dunk contest this year.

5. Nick Young a.k.a. Swaggy P

It would be one hell of a contest if Nick Young brings his swag with him. He is not the best dunker in the league, but he can make up for that with entertainment. Young will definitely lift the crowd on its feet just with his presence and I can only imagine the crazy things that he may try and perform.
