NBA Rumors: Hornets and Nets discuss swaping Joe Johnson and Lance Stephenson

Basketball, NBA News:

The name Lance Stephenson has been mentioned quite often this season and that’s not without a reason – the former Indiana Pacers player has performed pretty terrible since he was acquired by the Charlotte Hornets. After the Hornets began their season in a disastrous fashion, they have noticed that when Lance isn’t on the court for a lot of minutes, the team has looked a lot better and is winning games games. Charlotte has been trying to find a team that would be interested in him, but however Stephenson still is on the Hornets roster. Nevertheless, now it looks like very possible for the Hornets to finally trade Lance.

The Brooklyn Nets have been looking as a team that is interested in getting Stephenson in their roster, while sending Joe Johnson to the Hornets. The trade discussions have been heating up lately and it won’t be too much of a surprise if the teams pull out the trade soon. It has been reported that the deal would include the movement of the followig players – Lance Stephenson, Gerald Henderson, Marvin Williams and Joe Johnson. For the Nets, the deal would be very positive from a financial point of view, while for the Hornets it would definately be an offense booster.

The Brooklyn Nets have also been reported to be discussing a trade with the Denver Nuggets including Brook Lopez, however thison including Lance Stephenson and Joe Johnson has been looking a lot more possible. Whether will happen is just a matter of time.
