Australian Open Day 7 Highlights.

Tennis fanatics are getting more and more excited as Australian Open is progressing towards the end. Some highlights of the day 7 are listed below for our tennis fans.


•Rafael Nadal presented an amazing game, considered to be the best one so far in the tournament by many spectators, and pulled off a win of straight sets over Kevin Anderson. Pulling himself back from an injury layoff, Nadal no doubt gave a tough time to his opponent.

•Andy Murray again secured a position in the top eight players of the tournament when he defeated Dimitrov in a high pressured game. Both the players provided a tooth to nail game which was finally taken over by the two times Grand slam winner Andy Murray. The winner is expected to face a tough time in the quarter finals against his rival.

•Nick Kyrgios, a player who upset Rafael Nadal in their game at Wimbledon, played splendidly well and reached the second quarterfinal after beating Andreas Seppi at Melbourne. The nineteen years old Kyrgios will now be facing Andy Murray in the quarterfinal at Melbourne Park.

•Tomas Berdych will be playing against Rafael Nadal in the quarterfinal after beating Bernad Tomic and pulling off a 6-2, 7-6(7-3), 6-2 victory.


On the women’s side, we have got the following results:


•No.2 Maria Sharapova stole the show after setting up a forceful game against Shuai Peng in the fourth round. Sharapova will now face Bouchard in the other quarterfinal.

•Eugenie Bouchard presented a spectacular game on Australian Open Day 7 and earned a 6-1, 5-7, 6-2 victory over Irina-Camelia Begu.

•Ekaterina Makarova will now be having a quarterfinal clash with Simona Halep after defeating Julia Goerges. Simona Halep will be landing in this game after her victory over Yanina Wickmayer.
