Brazil – Chile 30-2 (12-13)
Chile almost surprise Brazil in last round of group stage. Chile had the better start and in 10’ they got 5-2. After timeout Brazil manage to catch Chile and in 19’ it was 8-8. But until the halftime Chile manage to get another lead and end the first half in their favor 13-12. In second half Chile was also playing good and they manages to keep the step with Brazil until 51’. For Chile game was playing until 51’ and not for 60’ since in last nine minutes of the game they didn’t score and Brazil score seven goals. Score change from 23-22 in 51’ to 30-22 at the end.
Spain – Slovenia 30-25 (14-10)
Spain and Slovenia battle for first place in Group A. For Spain to win the group they couldn’t lose with more than 2 goals and Slovenia need to beat Spain with 3 or more goal difference in order to win the group. Teams had problems with scoring in first five minutes. But in overall Spain was better team in first half. Critical point of first half happened in 24’. In last six minutes Slovenia score only once (in last attack) while Spain scored 4 goals and went with +4 at halftime. In second half Spain was holding their four goals difference and didn’t allow Slovenia to get near them. With this win Spain take the first place in Group A.
Qatar – Belarus 26-22 (7-12)
Since Brazil already beat Chile earlier; Belarus lost all their chances to go into the next round. But even without any chance they played great first halftime. Belarus better open the game and in 8’ it was already +2 for them (4-2). Until 16’ score was +2 for Belarus from 16’ until the end Qatar manage to score only once while Belarus scored five times. Score went from 7-6 in 16’ to 12-7 for Belarus at halftime. Qatar enter second half pretty strong and with three quick goals in 34’ they were already on -2. Critical point of the game happened from 37’ to 44’. In that period Qatar scored six goals and went from -3 to +3. Until the end Qatar hold their lead and manage to get fourth win and second place in Group A.
Group B:

- [Q] Macedonia 4-0-1 +15

- [Q] Tunisia 2-1-2 -1
- Bosnia and Herzegovina 1-0-4 -10
- Iran 0-0-5 -45
Tunisia – Iran 30-23 (12-12)
Tunisia need to win to secure 4 place in Group B. Tunisia better open the game and in 13’ they got four goals lead (7-3),but until the halftime Iran manage to consolidate their ranks and to draw the score. Tunisia open second half with a bang, in first eight minutes they scored seven goals and secure them another win. Iran didn’t have strength and experience to manage a comeback, the best they manage was come to -5.
Macedonia – Austria 36-31 (16-16)
in battle for second place Macedonia manage to beat Austria and to go in next round from second place. Both of teams were a lot of attacking oriented. In first half Macedonia had several times two goals lead, but every time Austria would manage to quickly come back. Second half started goal by goal for first five minutes. From 35’ to 48’ Macedonia manage to score ten goals while Austria scored only three. Score went from 18-19 for Austria in 35’ to 28-23 for Macedonia in 48’. In last twelve’s minutes Austria didn’t have strength and way to get back into the game.
Croatia – Bosnia and Herzegovina 28-21 (17-8)
in last game of Group B Croatia beat Bosnia and Herzegovina. Everything was solved in first half. In 8’ Croatia already had +3. Until the halftime they extend their lead to +9, at one point Croatia even had ten goals difference. Most of the second half Croatia manage to keep their ten goals lead, but in last ten minutes concentration of Croatian players drop and Bosnia manage to score five goals to reduce Croatian lead. At the end Croatia won with seven goals difference.

WHC Group A and B: Spain beat Slovenia for first place in Group A and Macedonia beat Austria for second in Group B
