Soccer Rumors: Pedro hints that he may leave Barcelona soon

Soccer Rumors:

Barcelona is definitely a place almost every football player around the world would like to play and retire. However, sometimes stars aren’t very keen to staying at the club, once they have arrived there. Pedro is one of those stars that has hinting that his time with Barcelona will most likely come to an end this summer, as he isn’t very happy from the fact that he isn’t receiving the playing time he is accustomed to. In a recent press conference, Pedro announced that he hasn’t really thought about whether he will continue his career at Camp Nou or not.

On the question whether he will stay at Barcelona, he answered – “I don’t know. For now, I’m happy at the club, but you never know what’s going to happen tomorrow. I’m calm, with my mind set on the club until the end of the season and then we’ll see what happens after that. Not having continuity makes things complicated. It’s tough, but what I try to do is help out as much as possible.”

The 27-year old has seen his minutes take a dip this season and he has started in just 10 matches in La Liga this season. Pedro has been used mainly as a player that comes off the bench and he definitely hasn’t been very happy because of that. Luis Enrique frequently chose the youngster Munir El Haddadi over Pedro at the start of the campaign, but lately the form of the 19-year old has been significantly down. Only because of this Pedro has been seeing more playing time. However, it is widely known that Barcelona expects big things from El Haddadi and sooner or later he will start playing even more for the team.

These facts have made Pedro consider leaving the club in the summer. There are many other clubs that would like for him to be in their line-up and Liverpool is one of them. It has been reported that the Reds have shown interest him and may try and sign him during the summer transfer window. Pedro will surely get a lot of playing time there and that is why it is very possible that next season Pedro will showcase his talents in the Barclay’s Premier League.
