Handball Transfers: Qatar Lekhwiya strength their lineup with 2 new Macedonian NT players, Kjelling move back home

Handball Transfer News:

Yesterday we got some interesting info from handball transfer market. We will start with the Qatar league, one of strongest teams Lekhwiya Handball team announce that they sign two new players from RK Metalurg Skopje right back Renato Vugrinec and center back Naumce Mojsovski. Club is hoping that with these two players they will manage to win the title in the upcoming season, especial now when their biggest rival EL Jaish Sports Club lost one of his best players Elahmar who moved to Flensburg.

Hungary giant MKB-MVM Veszprem announces that they extend contract with their playmaker Jose Maria Rodriguez. Rodriguez joined Veszprem in 2012 and made over 100 appearances for the team. One of his (and team) bust success was last year Final Four of VELUX EHF Champions League. They lost in semifinal against THW Kiel 29-26 and then in match for third place against Barcelona 26-25. This season they are holding first place in Group C with only 1 lost game (against Vardar 27-26).

We also have some transfers news from Scandinavia, first is coming from Norway where Kristian Kjelling moved back to Drammen HK. Kjelling is one of most popular handball player in Norway, he left Drammer in 2002 and joined Ademar Leon and after that San Antonio in Spain. After his “tour the Spain” he moved to Denmark and played for Aalborg and two seasons ago he joined Bjerringnro-Silkeborg. For local newspaper Kjelling said that he is very happy moving back to place where he started his development.

One of biggest talents from European Handball back in 2011 Nikolaj Markussen is leaving Skjern. Club announces that they don’t plan to extend their contract with Markussen in the summer. Markussen was one of the biggest talents in Europe back in 2011 when he joined Atletico Madrid, after Atletico get into financial problems he moved to one of strongest Qatar clubs El Jaish and then in 2014 he moved back to Denmark. For Denmark national team he made 48 appearances and one silver medal from European Championship in 2012 and silver medal in World Handball Championship in Spain two years ago.
