There are 16 more rounds to go until the end in Spain Primera Division and battle for the title is heating up. Real Madrid is first with 54 points, Barcelona is second with 53 points and Atletico Madrid is third with 50 points. It is less likely that this year Primera division will have a thriller finish like last year in which Atletico Madrid manage to take the title in last round at Nou Camp. Last year Atletico was doing excellent mostly because of their defense but this year their defense is not so strong and it is less likely that they will interfere in this year title race.
Real Madrid and Barcelona are again teams with the best attack in Primera Division; last yeas Real Madrid scored 104 goals from 38 games in Primera Division that is average 2.7 goals per game. Barcelona wasn’t far behind them; they scored 100 goals from 38 games or 2.6 goals per game. These seasons both of these clubs are not far behind their last year average, Real Madrid scored 70 goals from 22 games (3.18 per game) and Barcelona scored 62 from same number of games (2.8 per game).
Off course we don’t have to say that attack is the best part of both teams, on one side you got Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema and Gareth Bale while on other you got Lionel Messi, Neymar and Luis Suarez.
If we look at Real Madrid trio they scored total 49 goals from Real Madrid 70 this season in Primera Division or 70%. Cristiano Ronaldo is first with 28 goals, Karim Benzema scored 11 and Gareth Bale scored 10. In UEFA Champions League they scored 12 goals from Real Madrid 15 or 80%. Karim Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo scored 5 and Gareth Bale scored 2.
Barcelona trio is again not far behind them; in Primera Division they scored total 42 goals from Barcelona 62 or 67%. Lionel Messi is best scorer with 23 goals, Neymar is second with 16 and Luis Suarez scored 3 goals, but Luis Suarez was under suspension until the October. In UEFA Champions League Barcelona also scored 15 goals like Real Madrid but Barcelona trio is slightly better than Real one. They scored 12 goals or 86% of total Barcelona goals in UEFA Champions League Lionel Messi scored 8, Neymar scored 3 and Luis Suarez scored 2.
Until the end Real Madrid have slightly easier schedule except “El Clasico” that is on schedule 22 March at Nou Camp, their most important games would be against Sevilla on 03 May and against Valencia 7 days later. Barcelona title fight start after Nou Camp on 19 April they will play against Sevilla, 7 days later they will face Valencia at their Nou Camp and then before last round they will go at Vincent Calderon to face Atletico Madrid.
