As the Spanish league heating up we have some interesting news about roster for two top Spanish team. Real Madrid is not playing good lately, they did win against Schalke 04 in UEFA Champions League knockout round but they didn’t impress anyone. One of key toward their poor performance according to their coach Carlo Ancelotti is injury of Croatian midfielder Luka Modric. This week after almost 100 days Modric come back to trainee with the rest of Real Madrid players. His return to the field is still unknown but some media are speculating that he might be in the team roster for return game of UEFA Champions League against Schalke 04 on 10 March. Apparently Ancelotti order his medical service to make Modric fit and ready until the “El Clasico” who is on schedule 22 March. So it is likely that Modric will start some games earlier to be in optimal forma.
Barcelona is quite opposite from Real Madrid, apparently their bad time is behind them. They are winning and playing good. But one player is quite unhappy with his status in Barcelona at the moment. Barcelona right defender Dani Alves is pretty unhappy because Barcelona still didn’t offer him a new contract, since this one is ending in the summer. There was some rumors that Barcelona offer him new 1 year contract but his manager Dinorah Santa Ana said that Barcelona never offer him something like that. Dinorah said that his client is sad because nobody from Barcelona contact him about renewing his contract and he start almost all games for Barcelona in this season. Alves join Barcelona in 2008 from Seville and a lot of clubs that would love to see this right defender in their ranks.
