One of most interesting games in R22 of Handball Bundesliga was without doubt a game between 3^rd Flensburg-Handewitt and 4^th SC Magdeburg. In a good game SC Magdeburg manage to take the victory and 3^rd spot in Handball Bundesliga.

Magdeburg better open the game and in 5’ Jacob Bafersted scored for 4-1, but Flensburg quickly manage to get back and in 9’ score was 4-4. From that point until the last five minutes of the first-half Flensburg was a better team. They control the game and have two goals lead. As the first-half coming to end Magdeburg start to play better and better and they start to pressure home side. In 25’ at result 10-10 Jure Natek gets a 2 min suspension and everyone expects Flensburg to start building another lead. But first Andreas Rojewski and then Robert Weber scored two quick goals for Magdeburg and give them two goals lead. Goal difference stayed like that until the last moments of the first half when Yves Grafenhorst scored for halftime score 15-12. In second half Magdeburg quick manage to get 4 goals lead in 38’ (19-15). Until the end they manage to keep that four goals, Flensburg come several times on -2 but each time Magdeburg would quickly score and get back on 4 goals lead.

At the end SC Magdeburg coach Iceland Geir Sveinsson said that he is proud on his team that manage to get this win and that they played focused during entire 60 min of the game. In home side ranks Nenadic and Jakobsson were the best goal scorers with 5 goals and for guests Robert Webber scored 10 goals (3 from 7m shots) and Rojewski scored 5. In goalkeeper battle Magdeburg goalkeeper Krejberg manage to get 15 saves and Flensburg-Handewitt goalkeeper Andersson get “only” 11.

After incomplete 22 rounds THW Kiel are first with 38 points, Rhein-Neckar Lowen is second with 36 and one game less. On 3^rd place is SC Magdeburg with 35 points from 23 games, 4^th is Flensburg-Handewitt with 34 points from 22 games. It will be very interesting ending of this year Handball Bundesliga.
