Antonio Conte denied rumors about taking over AC Milan at the end of season

Soccer News:

Lately there was a lot of talk in Italy that current national coach Antonio Conte will take over the AC Milan at the end of the season. Yesterday Conte told the press that he wants to go with Italy on Europa Championship in France 2016. Conte said that he is happy as the Italy national coach and that he wants to finish the job that he started. Conte then said that with this statement he hopes to finally stop the speculations about him being coach for AC Milan or any other club in next season.

But one part of Italian newspapers doesn’t believe what Conte is saying and they still believe that at the end of season Silvio Berlusconi will lure Conte to take Milan. Milan is not doing well in Seria A, well to be honest they are not doing well since Massimiliano Allegri left the bench, they are on 12th place with 29 points huge 24 points behind the leader Juventus. Before the season Milan appointed their long time player Filippo Inzaghi as a new coach from and from 24 games Inzaghi records is 8 wins, 8 draws and 8 losses.

Antonio Conte before leading Italy national team was coach for Bari (2007-2009), Atalanta (2009-2010), Siena (2010-2011) and Juventus (2011-2014). Conte won three Seria A titles with Juventus before his departure. On 14 August 2014 Conte was appointed as head coach of Italy national team after Cesare Prandelli resignation. Conte is currently fighting for the spots in qualifications for Europa Championship in France 2016. Italy is in Group H with Croatia, Norway, Bulgaria, Malta and Azerbaijan. In first round Conte team manage to win in Norway (first time since 1937) 2-0, second round they beat Azerbaijan 2-1 and in third round they were better than Malta 1-0. In game between two strongest teams in group, at San Siro Conte manage to get a draw against Croatia, game end 1-1. Conte was praised for his tactical understanding and giving chance for younger players, but his Italy still have a lot of problems and struggle a lot.

Will Conte stay as Italy national coach or will Silvio Berlusconi manage to lure Conte to Milan we will have to wait and see.
