UEFA Europa League: 6 goals at Celtic Park, Balotelli scored for Liverpool win and Guingamp surprise Dynamo Kiev

UEFA Europa League – Match Reports:

After UEFA Champions League it was time for Europa League knockout stage to begin. We saw several games.

Bas Dost continue his scoring streak, after 4 goals against Bayer 04 Leverkusen in last round of Bundesliga he scored two goals for Wolfsburg in their win over Sporting CP.  Wolfsburg gets into the lead in 46’ after a good through ball from Naldo toward Bas Dost. In 63’ after a corner kick Bas Dost scored his second goal for Wolfsburg win 2-0. On Olimpico Roma and Feyenoord played very poor game without many goal chances. Roma manage to take the lead in 22’ when Gervinho scored from a close range. After that goal Roma didn’t make any more good chances in the game. Feyenoord manage to score the equalizer in 55’ when Colin Kazim-Richards scored also from a very close range.  Another Netherland club PSV Eindhoven played a similar game against Zenit. PSV manage to have ball possession and slightly more goal attempts, but Hulk goal gives Zenit a big chance to go into the next round. Liverpool manages to beat Besiktas at their Anfield; Liverpool was better team during whole game they were dominating while Besiktas was mostly relaying on the counter attack. Only goal in the game was from by Mario Balotelli in 85’ from penalty kick after a bad foul from Ramon on Jordon Ibe. Tottenham and Fiorentina played very interesting game with a lot of goal attempts. Tottenham get into the lead very early in 6’ after a good corner cross Roberto Soldado didn’t have big problems to score for 1-0. In 36’ Jose Basanta scored for 1-1 after a good cross from Stefan Savic. Probably the strangest game tonight was at Celtic Park between Celtic and Inter. Inter better open the game and in first 15 minutes they scored two goals. First Xerdan Shaqiri scored in 4’ after good solo action and then in 13’ Rodrigo Palacio scored Inter second goal. At that point nobody expect miracle from Celtic. In 24’  Stuart Armstrong scored after a good action with Adam Matthews and only one minute later Hugo Campagnaro scored own goal. When everyone expect referee to send teams on halftime break disastrous mistake by Celtic goalkeeper Gordon allow Palacio to score his second goal and Inter third in the game. And on similar way Celtic scored his 3 goal, in 93’ John Guidetti throws Celtic Arena in delirium when he scored the equalizer.
