Europa Leuague – Round of 16 Draw:
After yesterday 2nd game we got 16 clubs that went into Europa League round of 16. Today in Nyon Switzerland those 16 clubs drawn to see who will face who in the battle for quarter-finals.
After the draw these are the matches:
Everton (ENG) vs. Dynamo Kyiv (UKR)
Dnipro (UKR) vs. Ajax (NED)
Zenit (RUS) vs. Torino (ITA)
Wolfsburg (GER) vs. Inter (ITA)
Villarreal (ESP) vs. Sevilla (ESP)
Napoli (ITA) vs. Dinamo Moskva (RUS)
Club Brugge (BEL) vs. Besiktas (TUR)
Fiorentina (ITA) vs. Roma (ITA).
After the draw emotions were mixed, some clubs were happy to and some clubs just shake their head when they saw their opponents.
The strongest pairs are the one that are coming from same county. Villarreal and Sevilla will be the most interesting game to watch in round of 16. Not only will these two team fight for enter quarter-finals they also fight in Primera Division. Sevilla is holding 5th place and Villarreal is only 1 point behind them. Both of this team is chasing Valencia on 4th place to get a chance to play in UEFA Champions League next season.
Match between Fiorentina and Roma is also one of interesting matches in round of 16. Similar to game between Villarreal and Sevilla these two team are also fighting in Seria A. Roma is on 2nd place in Seria A and Fiorentina is holding 5th place 9 points behind Roma.
We can say that Italian clubs had a difficult draw Inter will go against 2nd team in Bundesliga Wolfsburg and Napoli will go against third team from Russian Premier League Dynamo Moskva. The only England representative Everton wasn’t luck favorite since they will face Dynamo Kyiv. Zenit and Besiktas were the luck favorites in this draw since they got probably one of the weakest opponents in the pot.
