Most Interesting Matches This Weekend: North London Derby, Merseyside Derby, El Derbi Madrileño and more

Soccer News:

In the upcoming weekend we got some very interesting matches in top leagues in Europe.

06/02/2015 – Bundesliga – Schalke 04 vs. Borussia Monchengladbach 19:30 GMT.

On Friday we got derby game in Bundesliga. In Veltins Arena Schalke 04 will go against Borussia Monchengladbach. Schalke is currently on 6th place in Bundesliga with 2 points behind 3rd Borussia Monchengladbach. This will also be a battle for Champions League, since positions  3 in Bundesliga is leading direct into UEFA Champions league. In last round Schalke 04 surprisingly draw in Allianz arena against Bayern Munich (1-1) while Borussia manage to beat Freiburg 1-0.

Saturday will probably be reserved for England Premiership since we got some very exciting games there, but we also have two interesting games, one in Spain and one in Italy.

07/02/2015 – Primera Division – Atletico Madrid vs. Real Madrid 15:00 GMT.

This will be third “El Derbi Madrileño” this year, after first two that was played for Copa Del Rey this game will be for points in Primera Division. Real is first with 4 points in front second Barcelona and 7 points ahead third Atletico Madrid. Lately Real had a lot of problems when facing Atletico at Vincente Calderon and it will be interesting to see can Diego Simeone manage to get another win against city rivals.

07/02/2015 – Seria A – Juventus vs. AC Milan 19:45 GMT.

Some years back this would be a huge derby, but now is just another ordinary soccer match in Italy. Juventus is 1st on the table and AC Milan is on 9th place with 21 points difference. In last round Juventus draw in Udinese (0-0) and AC Milan finally manage to get a win (3-1 against Parma). But it would be hard (almost impossible) for AC Milan to secure points against Juventus.

07/02/2015 – Premiership – Tottenham vs. Arsenal 12:45 GMT.

England Premiership will be open with 180 North London derbies. Both of these clubs are playing hot and cold this season, we saw some impressive plays and we saw some terrible plays. Arsenal is holding 5th place, last place that lead into European competition, only two points behind him on 6th place is Tottenham.

07/02/2015 – Premiership – Everton vs. Liverpool 17:30 GMT.

After North London Derby we will watch 224 Merseyside derbies. Similar to London derby Everton and Liverpool are both playing poorly this season. Liverpool is slightly better after disastrous start of the season. Liverpool still have to loss game in Premiership, last time they lost was 14/12/2014 against Manchester United 3-0. Everton manage to win in last round (Crystal Palace 1-0) after 6 round without victory. Last time (before last round) Everton manage to get victory was the same time when Liverpool suffers their last defeat in Premiership.

07/02/2015 – Bundesliga – Freiburg vs. Borussia Dortmund 14:30 GMT.

Derby of relegation zone in Bundesliga, what is happening to Borussia Dortmund is real mystery. They are playing excellent in Champions League but in Bundesliga they just cannot start scoring. Freiburg is 2 points ahead of Borussia at 15 places while Borussia is on last place in Bundesliga with 16 points. Borussia need this win to keep pace with other clubs in relegation zone.

08/02/2015 – Ligue 1 – Lyon vs. Paris Saint Germain 20:00 GMT.

Sunday night will probably be reserved for big France derby game. First Lyon will go against third Paris Saint Germain; there is only two point’s difference between them. Lyon is one of best home sides in Ligue 1, but Paris is also best away team in Ligue 1. This game will also be clash between two best attacks in Ligue 1 (Lyon scored 40 goals; Paris Saint Germain scored 40 goals).
