Women EHF Champions League: Another Safe Wins for group leaders

Women’s EHF Champions League – Match Results:


Yesterday Women EHF Champions League continues with their main round games, Men’s EHF Champions League will be start in the next weekend. Just a short info regarding Women’s EHF Champions League, they are playing main round in which we got two groups of 6 teams, best 4 teams from each group are going into quarter-finals stage and will battle for the title.


In Group 1 on Saturday we saw a game between WHC Vardar SCBT and RK Krim Mercator, in a very attack oriented game Vardar manage to beat last team in the group with 41-30 (21-12). In Vardar ranks Jovanka Radicevic was the best scorer with 8 goals, Siraba Dembele scored 7 and Andrea Lekic scored 6 goals. For Krim Tamara Mavsar scored 8 goals, Allison Marie Pineau scored 5 and Mirjeta Bajramoska scored 4 goals.


On Sunday Russian club Dinamo-Sinara beat Thüringen HC in Nordhausen with 33-30 (13-14). In home ranks best scorer was Sonja Frey with 7 goals, Nadja Nadgornaja scored 6 and Danick Snelder scored 5.  But they were against very motivated Olga Akopian and Anna Kocheta who both scored 8 goals from Dinamo-Sinara. In derby game Buducnost from Montenegro beat German club HC Leipzig with 28-21 (16-7). Romania player Cristina Georgiana Neagu was the best scorer for Buducnost with 7 goals, Dragana Cvijic scored 5 and Katarina Bulatovic 4 goals. Poland Karolina Kudlacz scored 7 and Helena Hertlein with 4 goals were the best scorer for Leipzig.


Buducnost is leading Group 1 with 11 points, Dinamo-Sinara is second with 8 points and HC Leipzig is third with 6 points.


Group 2 was opened on Friday with a game between 4th team Metz and 5th IK Savehof. Sweden team was better during most part of the game and at the end they manage to take 3 goals win. For home side Ana Gros with 6 and Paule Baudouin with 4 were the best scorers. Elin Karlsson and Ida Oden both scored 6 goals for IK Savehof. In the remaining two games leader of Group 2 didn’t have any big problems. On Saturday Norwegian Larvik demolish Denmark Viborg HK A/S with 31-18 (18-10). Linn-Kristin Koren Riegelhuth scored 5 for Larvik and Breivang, Frafjord, Mork and Wojtas all scored 4 goals. For Viborg Isabelle Gullden scored 6 goals and Helena Egelund Mikkelsen scored 5. On Sunday 2nd team in Group 2 Hungarian Gyor Audi ETO KC beat Romania team HCM Baia Mare 26-18 (13-9). Best in Gyor ranks where Susanne Muller 8 goals, Heidi Loke 7 goals and Aniko Kovacsic who scored 6 goals.


Larvik is first with 12 points, Gyor Audi ETO KC is second with 10 points and Viborg HK A/S is third with 5 points.
