Barclays Premier League: Leicester strangler coach gets fired

Premiership News:

Nigel Pearson gets fired as main coach for Leicester City. There are a lot of rumors why did Thailand owner Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha fired Leicester coach, but unofficially it was due to incident that happened this Saturday in the game against Crystal Palace.

In R24 of Premiership Leicester was playing against Crystal Palace at their King Power Stadium and like many times this season they lost 1-0, which was Leicester third loss in a row. Incident happened when Crystal Palace player James McArthur by chance slide near the end line for a ball and manage to hit Pearson. After that Pearson took McArthur for the neck and didn’t allow him to stand up, once he stands up he (Pearson) was holding McArthur for his shirt and didn’t allow him to join the game for a short period.

When asked about that incident Pearson said that McArthur told him something when they were down, when asked what did McArthur told him Pearson said that is between them, but nevertheless he still respect McArthur and he (Pearson) think he is a good player.

Maybe the most interesting thing is that Pearson tried to sign McArthur in summer transfer window, but at the end McArthur decides to join Crystal Palace. England media thinks that this incident was the drop that spilled the cup, since Leicester is last team in Premiership this season with only 17 points from 24 games.

This is not the first incident for now ex-coach for Leicester. Pearson was notorious because he said one fan to go and die with some other inappropriate words. Pearson was appointed as a manager of Leicester city first time in 2008 and then again in 2011 when Leicester was in Championship (2nd division of England soccer) and with him Leicester manage to enter Premiership. His lead Leicester 167 times, manage to get 78 wins, 54 defeats and 34 draws. Before Leicester he coached Southampton and Hull City.
