Louis Van Gaal: Arsene Wenger is always ‘’right’’

English Premier League News:

Ahead of the Monday night kickoff between Arsenal and Manchester United in the FA Cup, Louis Van Gaal was full of praise for his counterpart at Arsenal. Manchester United are set to take Arsenal in the FA Cup Quarter final on Monday and Louis Van Gaal was talking to the journalists in the buildup of the game.

Arsene Wenger once dignified the importance of winning in the Champions League places every-season and he went on further to claim that a Champions League position in the Premier League is worth more than a trophy. While this statement earned the Frenchman ridicule from the general public, the Frenchman was unmoved.

Having crashed out early of the Capital One Cup this season with defeat away at MK Dons, the League form of Manchester United has been far from challenging the title. Thus, with FA Cup their only chance of claiming a title this season, the Red devils are expected to go all out against the Gunners on Monday.

However, this type of competitiveness was absent from the pre-match conference of Louis Van Gaal. While at one end he applauded the philosophy of Arsene Wenger over top 4 spot, he vindicated his desire to do the same with Manchester United this season.

While Arsene Wenger was a fierce level of Sir Alex in the latter’s record breaking era at Manchester United, the rivalry has gone down since the departure of Sir Alex. However, while David Moyes wasn’t in the situation to challenge the Gunners’ last season, his predecessor Louis Van Gaal can outwit Arsenal in their quest for the Champions League spot.

Sitting just 1 point behind Arsenal in the table with 10 matches left, Manchester United, even though they aren’t at the best, can still outshine a high flying Arsenal side in the Premier League

However, with that sort of competitiveness between both the teams, Louis Van Gaal was alarmingly cool and professed his appreciation for Wenger.

“I think Arsene Wenger is always saying the right things – for any club, the Champions League is the highest level,” To finish in the top four, it’s a fantastic achievement, and more so for Manchester United.”

But with both teams set to go head to head on Monday night, the Dutchman has to made sure his team perform much better than what they did at Newcastle in mid-week.
