What to watch over the weekend derby games in England, Italy, France and Russia

Soccer News:

After one week break due to international games, this weekend we will watch against clubs in fight for their national trophies. Here we will try to give you (by our means) most interesting games this weekend that you should not miss from top European leagues.

03/04/2015 19:30 GMT – Ligue 1: Monaco vs. Saint Etienne

Monaco and Saint Etienne are opening 31 round of Ligue 1. Monaco is currently 4th on the table and holding last place that lead into European competition, Saint Etienne is just one point behind them. Both of coaches have problems with injuries. Monaco will be without L. Traore, Carvalho, Bakayoko and A. Traore while Saint Etienne cannot count on Cohade, Pogba, Bayal Sall, Hamouma, Clement, Gradel, Brison and Moulin.

04/04/2015 11:30 GMT – Seria A: Roma vs. Napoli

We are “opening” Saturday with this Italian derby, game between 2nd Roma and 5th Napoli. Roma is in lot of problems lately and their big point difference in front Lazio meltdown and now it’s only 1 point. Napoli on other hand is playing hot-and-cold during entire season, but that don’t mean they are without the chance at Olimpico. Roma need this win to keep them on 2nd place and Napoli need points to stay in race for UEFA Champions League for next season.

04/04/2015 12:45 GMT – Premiership: Arsenal vs. Liverpool

After Italian derby we move over to the island and England Premiership. Arsenal and Liverpool are playing most interesting games of this round. This game is important for both teams for several reasons. Arsenal needs points to keep 3rd place and direct promotion into UEFA Champions League. For Liverpool story is almost the same, after last round defeat at hands of Manchester United they are holding last 5th place that lead into European competition. Southampton and Tottenham are just 1 point behind them and one more loss might throw them out of European competition.

04/04/2015 17:30 GMT – Bundesliga: Borussia Dortmund vs. Bayern Munich

We are closing Saturday with Germany derby. We can all agree that Borussia Dortmund is not playing good this season, they had awful first part but after winter break they improve a lot. Bayern on other hand is playing their game; they are crushing everyone on their path toward new title. Well not everyone in last round they lost in their Allianz Arena against Borussia Monchengladbach and maybe that defeat can show Borussia Dortmund how to play against them. Also we cannot forget that at the start of the season Borussia Dortmund beat Bayern Munich in Germany super cup 2-0.

05/04/2015 11:30 GMT – Premier League: Zenit St. Petersburg vs. CSKA Moscow

First game on Sunday is derby of Russian league between first Zenit and second CSKA. At the moment there is an eight point’s difference between them, but CSKA got one game less than Zenit and if they manage to win in derby that would mean they could get on -2 only. If we add that these two teams got best attacks of Russian league then we should expect a good game.

05/04/2015 20:00 GMT – Ligue 1: Marseille vs. Paris Saint-Germain

We are closing Sunday with France version of El Clasico or “Le Classique”. Paris is first with 59 points, Lyon is behind them with 58 and Marseille is on third place with 57 points. Last eight rounds of Ligue 1 will be very interesting. Do we need to say anything about this game? It’s like you need some special introduction to Real Madrid and Barcelona game. Can Olympique beat Paris Saint-Germain on their Velodrome and kick them out of the first place it remains to see. We are hoping to see excellent game and let’s hope that police don’t have a lot of work in this game.
