Like any other match around the world which follows the usual rituals, this match was tight-lipped for the first 30 minutes after Gareth Bale scored the opener. However, for those who thought that Bale would be stealing the headlines, Cristiano Ronaldo responded in exactly the same fashion in which his fans love him to see.

After scoring his first goal of the match on the half-hour mark, Ronaldo looked more like a man on the mission. As far as Granada were concerned, a shooting squad would be less catastrophic in retrospect then the 11 players from Real Madrid.

Cristiano Ronaldo averages 1 hat-trick in every 8 games for for Real Madrid in LA Liga

While, on paper this was a match between two teams that are playing in the top tier of Spain, on ground it was more a spectator of a World beater and a man who has forgotten his tools at home. Succumbing to defeat is one thing, the 9-1 score-line with which Real Madrid got the better of Malaga had HUMILIATION written all over it.

And like the whole of his career playing for teams around the globe, Cristiano Ronaldo was at the center of everything that resulted in a goal at the Santiago Bernabeu. While he might have lost the count of his goals himself, Ronaldo is now level with Lionel Messi when it comes to scoring hat-tricks in LA Liga.

Today was his 24th hat-trick in Real Madrid colors in the League and looking at the number of matches that he has played for Real Madrid, Ronaldo averages a hat-trick in every 8th match for the LOS BLANCOS

Hailed as a phenomenon by his team-mate Karim Benzema after the match, the focus of the Spaniard will now be on the Semi-finals of the Champions League as Real Madrid will travel to Vicente Calderon in a week’s time to book their place in the Champions League final on consecutive basis.
