Barclays Premier League: How will Manchester City lineup against Crystal Palace

English Premier League Match Preview

Callous to the results of fixtures around them, Manchester City will go into this fixture with a single-minded approach: to get a win. Selhurst Park has never been a happy hunting ground for the teams from the upper half, however, for Manchester City, anything less than a win wouldn’t be less catastrophic than a nuclear attack.

Having seen all Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester United winning their respective fixtures, Manuel Pellegrini would be hoping that his team would follow suit. While Chelsea limped their way to the victory, the other 2 teams from the top 4 marched towards victory unscathed. Thus, as far as the hangover of the International break was concerned, there were no signs of that in the Champions League position contenders.

With 17 of their respective 31 fixtures against the bottom half, Manchester City are ranked 3rd when it comes to point against the bottom half of the Premier League. However, what seems more astonishing is the fact that Arsenal has gathered the most number of points out of the bottom half of the League. And while the Gunners are now knocking at Manchester City’s door with 2nd place serving as the bone of contention, the Citizens have to make full use of their fixtures against mid-table sides.

While Manchester City went to the International break with a customary 3-0 win at home, their recent form in the Premier League has been far from assuring. With only 4 wins in their last 10 fixtures in the league, the off-season form that is usually associated with Manchester City has gone out of the window this season.

Here is how Manchester City are expected to lineup against Crystal Palace on Monday: –

Manchester City lineup:

Hart – Zabaleta – Kompany – DeMichellis – Clichy – Toure – Fernandinho – Silva – Milner – Aguero – Bony

Crystal Palace Vs Manchester City will take place at the Selhurst Park Stadium on Monday, 6th April.
