Marko Kopljar is leaving Paris Saint-Germain for HSV Hamburg, Wisla and Vardar awaits their first game of EHF Champions League with injury problems

Handball News:

This weekend we didn’t have any big transfer signings. After we already post about the new players that might join and strength France powerhouse Paris Saint-Germain we now got first player that is leaving Paris Saint-Germain. Croatian player Marko Kopljar is leaving Paris Saint-Germain on the summer, after Paris Saint-Germain announce that they will be signing Sweden Kim Andersson from KIF Kolding Kobenhavn it was clear that Marko Kopljar would need to find a new place to play. Kopljar supposed to join “Croatian colony” in Poland Vive Tauron Kielce, but player and club didn’t come to agreement on player contract. After hearing that Kopljar and Vive Tauron Kielce didn’t sign contract HSV Hamburg quickly arrange everything and agree with player terms. From the next season Kopljar will join HSV Hamburg and his ex-teammate Davor Dominikovic. Kopljar is 210cm left back who has very good offensive and defensive ability, in Kopljar Hamburg is getting another back line killer.

Draw of round 16 for EHF Velux Champions League is over and one of interesting games will be between two vice-champions Poland Wisla Plock and Macedonia Vardar Skopje. Both of teams have fantastic home support from their fans. One more thing these two teams have in common both beaten two German giants in last round and jump over them on the group table. In Group B Wisla Plock beak SG Flensburg-Handewitt 31-29 and in Group C Vardar beat Rhein-Neckar Lowen 35-28. Several days before the first game both of coaches have problems with injuries. Wisla coach Manolo Cadenas will be without his line-player Thiago Rocha who injured metacarpal bone and will be out for a few weeks. Vardar coach Raul Gonzales will be without Slovenia right-wing Matjaz Brumen who is suffering arm injury and is already missed few matches. But even with this injury problem first game that is on schedule for 14 March in Orlen Arena will definitely be “hot” and tempered game. Return game is schedule on 21 Marc in Jane Sandanski arena in Skopje.
