The Argentinian star, Angel Di Maria, has been surrounded by a huge number of rumors this season. However, it has been reported that the current Manchester United player doesn’t wish to leave his current clubs and has stated that he has very little interest in joining PSG or any other team. Di Maria isn’t having his best season with the Red Devils, but according to a couple of sources, the wing is determined to improve his form and stay at the Old Trafford.
Di Maria is currently enduring a very tough stretch, as Louis Van Gaal has benched him for in the last couple of matches. The transition from Spain to England definitely wasn’t an easy one for the Argentinian, but he has stated that he currently wishes to remain in Manchester.
At the beginning of the season, Di Maria was playing magnificently, scoring goals and dishing out assists. He was the heart and soul of the Red Devils’ midfield line, and no defender was able to stop him. However, lately, the Argentinian has looked demotivated and without creativeness in his game. The fact that in the last two games Van Gaal didn’t use him and the team played very good is a bit alarming. Nevertheless, we shouldn’t be too critical to Di Maria. He is an incredible player that just needs the correct team to work with. When Di Maria is put in the right place and the right tactic, he demonstrates spectacular skills that turn games around.
In my opinion, Di Maria just needs a bit more time to get used to life in the Premier League. Furthermore, Louis Van Gaal has to work a little harder, in order to incorporate the Argentinian’s skills in the team’s tactic. If Carlo Ancelotti found a way to push Di Maria to his limits, why can’t Van Gaal do it? I expect a breakout season for the Argentina star next year.
