In game for fifth place Denmark beat Croatia 28-24 (15-11). These two teams can do much better than fifth and sixth place but with the plays that they show us on this World Handball Championship they didn’t deserve better ranking than these. We saw another bad game from Croatia, Denmark had a great start and soon they went first on +4 and in 24’ they got +6. Until the halftime Croatia manages to reduce Denmark lead to -4. In second half similar game as in first, Croatia never come close to endanger Denmark lead, the closest they got was -2 in 41’ but with two quick goals by Hansen Denmark quickly get back on +4 that they keep until the end of the game.

In game for seventh and eight place Germany was better than Slovenia 30-27 (16-14) and secure them spot in Olympic qualifications for Rio 2016. Slovenia will have to wait results from European Handball Championship that will be played next year in Poland. Slovenia better open the game and in 13’ they got 7-4. But only two minutes later Germany manages to equal the score. From that point until the end Germany was in the lead. Germany made two goals leads in last 4 minutes of the game when Wiencek scored three times for Germany and Gajic scored once for Slovenia.
