NBA News: All-Star 3-point contest participants revealed!

Basketball, NBA News:

The NBA has been full of great shooters in the past couple of years and because of that the All-Star 3-point contest’s popularity has been steadily increasing. This year won’t be an exception, as the sharpshooters that will participate in the contest are some of the greatest players around the league! It won’t be a surprise if it is one of the greatest of all time.

The list of names that has been announced is the following:

Kyrie Irving (Cleveland Cavaliers)

Stephen Curry (Golden State Warriors)

Klay Thompson (Golden State Warriors)

Wesley Matthews (Portland Trail Blazers)

Kyle Korver (Atlanta Hawks)

Marco Belinelli (San Antonio Spurs)

JJ Reddick (Los Angeles Clippers)

James Harden (Houston Rockets)

The anticipation for this event is more than high, thanks to the amount of superstars that will take part. It has been a long time since so many superstars were featured in the 3-point contest, including two former champions. Kyrie Irvin and Marco Belinelli would definitely want to win the honors again, but they will face some really though competition. It’s not very easy to predict which are the favorites, as it won’t be much of a surprise to see any of the eight players lift the trophy.

However, three names stand out, because of their shooting touch throughout the season – Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Kyle Korver. Korver has been shooting lights out, averaging a league best 53.2 % from downtown. Nevertheless, it’s hard to imagine even him beating any of the Splash Brother. Both, Klay Thompson and Stephen Curry are amazingly good and it’s their shooting that has been the main reason the Warriors are winning.

One thing is certain, though, the 2015 All-Star 3-point Contest is going to be more than fun to watch, so don’t hesitate to watch it – it’s going to be one hell of an event!
