Yaya Toure’s name has been constantly surrounded by rumors in the last couple of months, as it is more than possible that the Ivory Coast midfielder will leave Manchester City this summer. The player will turn 32 years this month and has slowly but surely shown regress during the current campaign. Even though, Inter Milan are ready to make a pretty solid bid for him, as the team from Italy is ready to pay £15 million for him. Nevertheless, this is not the full amount of money that Inter is going to need.
Toure is currently receiving £230 000 per week at Manchester City, but he has stated that he is willing to take a pay cut. If the midfielder agrees to receive £150 000 per week at San Siro that would mean that the club will pay him around £31.2 million over the course of a four-year deal. It’s a very big amount of money, but Inter’s boss, Roberto Mancini, has said a couple of times that he is very keen on coaching Toure once again. Yaya has shown signs of aging, but he is still a very good player, that could provide crucial stability at the midfield area for Inter Milan. Toure is definitely not the same player he was a couple of years ago, but he is still worth the money.
Furthermore, not only is Manchester City ready to let Toure go, but the team has also started looking for players for which they can use the money from the Ivory Coast’s player deal. The Citizens have been monitoring Aymeric Laporte, the Athletic Bilbao central defender. However, it’s quite doubtful that Manchester City will be able to get him, as Bilbao has previously rejected bids from Real Madrid. The 20-year-old defender has also been linked with Manchester United.
