Younus Failed To Chase Lara Record

Pakistan captain Younus Khan has failed in his attempt to beat Brian Lara's world record of 400 Test score as first test against Sri Lanka held on to draw.

He was successful to add only seven runs to his overnight score of 306 as he was bowled by Dilharo Fernando this morning. While another player, Kamran Akmal made his career's best score of 158 runs not out before hosts declared their innings on 765-6, the highest score in test cricket from their side.

In the morning, the match is destined for a draw, the morning session of this final day match is all about Younus Khan of breaking record of 400 score of  West Indian player, Lara not out, who made against England in Antigua in 2004.

But the hope of breaking this record has ended early when fast bowler Fernando got a nip back between bat and pad before touching stamps.
